Thursday 20th June saw the first ever Worcestershire Advance Adventure Golf Championship, sponsored by Haines Watts. 20 of Worcestershire’s young professionals were transported to the jungle and enjoyed 18 holes of mini golf and had to take on gorillas, crocodiles and lions as they battled to be number one.

With prizes at stake for the winners and losers the competitive nature of the participants really came out. Some people even had friendly bets between themselves. This event took place at the newly build adventure golf course at Ravenmeadow in Worcester. The course was fantastic and really was a lot of fun. We would recommend anyone to go there and give it a go.

A lot of networking was being done whilst playing round the course and then once everyone finished, a beer and a burger was enjoyed by all. The sun made a welcome appearance and we finished the evening sat on the terrace enjoying discussing what happened out on the course.

Once the 18 holes had been manoeuvred and completed then it was time to count up the scores and give out the prizes. The overall winner was Mark Bowen of MB Insolvency, with his team also picking up the best team award. Obviously someone had been practicing! However the biggest shock of the evening was that the winner of the wooden spoon was not our Chairman!

If you are interested in having fun whilst building your own network then please get in touch with us at Worcestershire Advance and see if you can make the connections that will help you to get a hole in one!

The next event is another sports themed event and is a martial arts experience at Worcester Rugby Football Club on Tuesday 9 July, hope to see you there.
