Laura is self-employed and spends the majority of her time recruiting local talent for her portfolio of Worcestershire based clients on behalf of Headturner Search.

She is also a voluntary committee member of Wooden Spoon Charity Worcestershire and contracts for Worcestershire Law Society assisting with admin, marketing and event management.

Having been born and bred in Worcester, Laura attended King’s School in the city centre and she is very passionate about keeping great local talent here in the county. In her spare time Laura enjoys dancing and teaches a dance class every week (following her Strictly Worcestershire win in 2015).

Laura’s Worcestershire Advance Journey

Laura was involved with setting up Worcestershire Advance from day 1 as she was passionate about promoting Worcestershire to up and coming local business professionals as a fantastic place to live, work and do business.  Throughout her time on the Board she has mostly been involved with organising and running the WA events calendar throughout the year and is really proud of some of the staple events that we now repeat annually (such as our highly popular debate event).

If you would like to feedback to us on any other events / learning topics that you would like us to include in the Worcestershire Advance 2021 calendar, Laura is always up for the challenge of a new event to organise, so she is the girl to get in touch with with your ideas/requests!
