On Tuesday 4th February we welcomed everyone to our 2020 Showcase held at The Kiln. As this was the first event of the year, we felt it was the perfect time to inform our members what we have in store for this year, whilst giving those who haven’t met us before, the chance to understand why we created this wonderful networking group.
We took the opportunity to introduce our two new Board Members, Jonny Arr and Dan Martin who are now going to be supporting Worcester Advance grow and develop even more this year. We were also delighted to announce the return of some well-loved events such as Question Time and ‘Summer’ Games, whilst also introducing some new exciting events to the calendar!
All the while, it was great to be able to share how we continue to strive towards our initial goal, which is bringing like-minded people together who share a love of Worcestershire and all it has to offer. We love to see people making connections, sharing interests and actually having fun. We are incredibly proud that the support the Worcestershire community has given us has allowed us to raise awareness of Mental Health in 10 schools across the county and give the opportunity for young people to talk one to one with a Mental Health Nurse (who we met… at a Worcestershire Advance event!). We look forward to seeing this develop even further this year.
The event was rounded off with a large amount of extremely lovely pizza from The Oil Basin, plus a few drinks. We’d love to thank all those that came and we look forward to seeing lots of you at our upcoming events!
